THE ROBOTS

Here’s the deal… In screen printing, we have to separate colors. And while we have software that can help us along the way, the majority of the time, there’s some really solid screen time that goes into reformatting your AI artwork for screen printing.

This is time we could’ve spent literally doing anything else in our limited time in the shop, but now we’re reformatting AI artwork so it looks better… We’re getting rid of that 3rd arm, that 6th finger, or that baseball bat coming out of who-knows-where… We’re trying to cull down the amount of screens that need to be used to save YOU money. So now, what the customer has thought was going to save THEM money has costed US time.

It’s part of the world of screen printing, I get that. But we have to start charging for the time we’re putting in to reformatting your AI artwork (which, by the way, can never be trademarked or protected… something worth considering.).

All that to say… There’s a minimum $50 artwork formatting charge for all AI artwork. Even if your magical Rectangle Robot tells you the artwork is good for screen printing, what does it know? It’s a robot. Max charge is probably closer to $75. We try to keep it cheap. We don’t need to get rich off your AI artwork, but we do need to have that time covered. We love y’all. A ton. But we would’ve been happy to design for you, but you went to the robots that ***bleep blorp’d** you some artwork and now we all have to figure it out!

Here’s what’s crazy; we only charge like $50-$75 for artwork anyway. Might as well hit us up and see what we can do for you!
